Beijing

Brasserie FLO, Beijing’s only authentic French brasserie and winner of eight consecutive years for “Best French Restaurant in Beijing” from 2004-2011 by “the beijinger Magazine” opened its doors in Beijing 12 years ago and in that time, it has watched the city around it change, grow and evolve.

It is therefore with tearful nostalgia and an overwhelming sense of anticipation that Brasserie FLO announces it has closed its doors for the very last time at Rainbow Plaza. Times have indeed changed, and while too remaining timeless, Brasserie FLO must change with the times.

But it is with this inimitable spirit instilled by the President of Groupe FLO Asia, Monsieur Jacques Rougié that Brasserie FLO steps forth to an even grander challenge. The new Brasserie Flo finds itself neighboring the new French Embassy, it too having outgrown its previous location

Superbly located on Xiaoyun Lu – just a stone’s throw from the family oriented Lido area and yet close enough to the original venue to please the existing loyal customers – Brasserie FLO is thrilled to be continuing its traditions. A stand-alone building designed entirely by FLO visionaries, the stone exterior, cut glass windows and lush garden grounds immediately compose a singular and stunning Beijing venue.

New Brasserie FLO will be able to offer private parking with a concierge service awaiting you.

As you enter, to your right you will of course be greeted with the staple plateau of iced shellfish flown fresh from France for which Brasserie FLO is renowned. Each selection hand-picked and prepared by the master ecailler, you will be absolutely spoilt for choice. Try the famous Huitre Gillardeau, delectable bulots or share with friends one of the stunning fruits de mer set menu plateaux.

Even with all this choice to the left, you may well find your filled nostrils pulling you to the right, where fresh breads are cooked daily. Baguettes, croissants and more await those staying to eat or merely stopping by. Brasserie FLO also combines their culinary prowess to bring you homemade chocolates and deserts for you to take home or give as gifts.

Couple this with the delectable cheese service and the expansive selection of wines; you will be absolutely spoilt for choice. Brasserie FLO will continue to treat every aspect of food and service with the highest level of attention, demonstrating a grass-roots love of fresh ingredients and tantalizing flavours.

Stepping inside the dining room will truly astound. While its previous incarnation paid beautiful homage to the Terminus Nord in Paris, this new embodiment will truly find the soul of this seminal Parisian masterpiece. In a style of architecture and quality of construction that simply wasn’t available when Brasserie FLO first greeted Beijing in 1999, every possible detail is being meticulously tailored to match the beauty, sensation and history of Terminus Nord. Stunning brass fixtures, dazzling chandeliers and exquisite artistic work of turn-of-the-century are but a few of the feasts for the senses in store.

While eager to stand tall in this grand new venue, the FLO family did not wish to lose the essence of the original; the heart and soul that has made it one of Beijing’s best-loved restaurants for so many years. Many of the favourite wall paintings and fixtures of the old venue are being carefully transported over to their new home where they will greet and delight a new generation of welcome guests.

The stunning grounds outside are equal in size to the interior, allowing Brasserie FLO to nearly double its capacity for guests in the summer months. Take some shade outside by the spectacular water fountain while the kids explore the grounds in safety.

Still a staple for intimate family gatherings and company events, New Brasserie FLO boasts five fabulous private rooms.

With the potential to divide the two main halls, offering privacy to both sides, FLO can now accommodate private parties, weddings and functions of as many as 220 guests, and can equally provide private service and a dedicated area for as few as 60 guests. This area also has its own side entrance, so no longer will your guests need to pass through the main thoroughfare in order to reach your spectacularly arranged occasion.
